Cable splitters

Cable splitters are basically the devices that take one incoming coaxial cable signal and have the capability to divide the signal in to two or more separate monitors. Cable splitters are very much beneficial in older houses that have TVs in multiple rooms, but possess only one central cable outlet, or in businesses and in other locations that have a number of TV monitors. Different types of cable splitters deliver different types of functions and all should offer audio and video as good as that from any undivided source.

Any of the basic cable splitter is actually a small, rectangular metallic piece that has one coaxial input on one end and possesses two coaxial outputs on the other end. The incoming cable signal is connected to the input of the splitter and the output cables can be sent through to two separate TVs or other video components.

There are certain benefits of cable splitters. The advantages are that each of the outgoing cables still delivers the full availability of the cable signal to all the TV and acts as separate individual entities. Different channels can be accessed through each one. However, regarding any premium channels or channels outside the basic range of the TV or the VCR connected to it must still go via a cable or satellite receiver that is to be viewed.

Good quality cable splitters also boost and amplify the signal sent via its outputs that eliminates the noise and signal loss which can occur when the signal is split.
